EXPERIENCED GENERAL MANAGER
Pay:
$40,000 Salary + Tips + performance bonuses

We are hiring a hands-on General Manager for a 20 year established coffee shop, roastery, drive-thru, and foodservice business in Bastrop. This is a working manager role. The right person will lead daily operations, manage the team, improve speed and consistency, grow sales, and help the business continue evolving. This is not a corporate desk job. You must be willing to jump in wherever needed: coffee bar, drive-thru, register, kitchen, prep, cleaning, catering, customer service, and staff training. We are looking for someone who is organized, practical, positive, and comfortable managing both people and systems. Responsibilities Manage daily store operations, staffing, scheduling, training, and accountability. Lead the team during busy shifts and maintain strong customer service. Improve speed, consistency, cleanliness, and product quality. Oversee coffee, espresso drinks, breakfast items, kolaches, pastries, lunch items, chicken salad, catering, and retail coffee. Help manage inventory, ordering, waste, labor, and daily sales performance. Maintain food safety, prep standards, labeling, cleaning, and opening/closing routines. Help grow sales through local marketing, catering, social media, promotions, and repeat customer engagement. Update Toast menus, pricing, modifiers, item availability, and basic POS settings as needed. Create or assist with basic graphics, menu updates, signs, social media posts, photos, and short videos. Be comfortable appearing on camera occasionally for store content, product features, promotions, and community engagement. Required Skills The ideal candidate should have: Restaurant, coffee shop, café, bakery, QSR, or foodservice management experience. Strong leadership skills and the ability to hold staff accountable. Computer literacy and comfort learning systems quickly. Experience with POS systems; Toast experience strongly preferred. Strong social media comfort, especially Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, photos, videos, and local business content. Basic graphic design ability using tools like Canva or similar platforms. Comfort taking food and drink photos, filming short videos, and helping present the business online. Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, speed, and customer experience. Ability to work mornings, weekends, and peak business periods as needed. Coffee experience is helpful, but leadership, reliability, urgency, computer skills, and ownership matter most.
