Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day shop operations, including tools, systems, and workflow Provide quick, professional service to walk-in customers needing hose repairs or parts Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked work environment Handle parts ordering, receiving, and inventory management—keep safety stock levels accurate and perform regular cycle counts Assist with hose cutting and light fabrication Inspect, maintain, and service shop tools and equipment to ensure reliability Keep service vehicles clean inside and out, and in top working condition Perform basic upkeep on vans, such as oil and filter changes and other routine maintenance Coordinate with mobile technicians to support job scheduling, inventory needs, and field communication Track hours worked by shop and field staff; ensure accurate timekeeping and timely reporting Participate in a rotating after-hours support schedule Uphold the values of the PIRTEK franchise—working as a team and representing the brand with professionalism
Qualifications:
Ability to speak Spanish is a plus Mechanical aptitude and 3-5 years experience working in a shop, service, or industrial environment Proven history of industrial retail sales Strong customer service skills, with the ability to assist walk-in clients professionally and efficiently Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in timekeeping, inventory, and cleanliness Basic computer skills for inventory management and timesheet reporting Willingness to perform hands-on tasks such as hose assembly, pipe bending, and equipment upkeep Availability to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours customer needs Equal Employment Opportunity Clause We are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
