Job Description
Night Crew Supervisor Position Summary The Night Crew Manager oversees overnight store operations with a primary focus on product stocking, store conditions, inventory accuracy, and operational execution. This role is responsible for leading the night crew team to ensure shelves are stocked, displays are properly set, and the store is prepared for the next business day while maintaining safety, productivity, and company standards. Key Responsibilities Overnight Operations Plan and direct nightly stocking operations to ensure timely and accurate completion of freight Ensure grocery, frozen, and dairy departments are fully stocked, faced, and conditioned Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and safety during overnight hours Inventory & Merchandising Oversee stocking, rotation, and organization of product according to company standards Ensure accurate pricing, signage, and merchandising are in place Monitor inventory levels and ensure product is properly worked to the sales floor Associate Leadership & Scheduling Supervise, train, and assign duties to night crew associates Monitor productivity and work flow to ensure operational goals are met Train associates on safety, stocking procedures, and company policies Foster teamwork, accountability, and strong overnight performance Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with workplace safety rules and safe equipment operation Maintain clean and safe work areas, aisles, backrooms, coolers, and freezers Follow and enforce company policies, grooming standards, and conduct expectations Shrink & Operational Control Reduce shrink through proper handling, rotation, and storage practices Ensure damaged or unsellable product is properly identified and processed Maintain orderly backroom and receiving areas Receiving & Administrative Duties Perform and support receiving duties including breaking down loads, verifying invoices, inspecting product, reporting shortages, and stocking merchandise Accurately complete daily logs, sales, labor, and other required paperwork Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, safety cutters, and electronic ordering devices Operational Support Implement emergency procedures during equipment or system malfunctions Support store leadership with overnight operational priorities Perform other duties as assigned to support store readiness Qualifications Required Previous grocery, retail, or stocking experience Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks Ability to work overnight shifts and extended standing periods Preferred Prior supervisory or night crew leadership experience Familiarity with inventory control, stocking standards, and shrink management Work Schedule & Environment Overnight schedule including weekends and holidays Work performed in temperature‑controlled environments with exposure to refrigerated and freezer conditions
Pay Transparency:
Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Dependent on length of service, hours worked, any applicable collective bargaining agreement and/or Company policy, benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay- , PTO/Vacation pay
