The position can work without a manager physically on site.
Key Responsibilities:
Commitment to providing a safe work environment Determine equipment and manpower requirements for daily operational needs Supervise yard drivers, salvage, trailer washer and equipment Monitor employees daily work assignments Work with yard drivers to improve driving skills Work closely with Transportation Management Team Performs other duties as assigned
Key Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age High School Diploma or equivalent 3-5 years of supervisory experience Knowledge of safely operating a mule, tractor and trailer a plus and MHE equipment Knowledge of inhaul/backhaul procedures Familiar with work environment, time and attendance requirements High degree of initiative and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions Valid driver's license for types of vehicles to be driven Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift Have appropriate eye, hand and foot coordination to properly use various equipment and/or tools To work in different outside temperatures, (snow, heat, rain, etc.) Must pass all company testing Must submit to OSHA Powered Industrial Truck training and pass associated tests Ability to function as a team member and get along with others Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude This job description is intended to provide a high-level of general requirements for this position. Pay Transparency:
Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Dependent on length of service, hours worked, any applicable collective bargaining agreement and/or Company policy, benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay
