In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store functions, drive sales growth, manage teams, and ensure exceptional customer service. Duties Lead all aspects of store management, including sales, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service excellence. Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members while providing ongoing training and development to foster a high-performing staff. Manage payroll, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accurate financial operations. Oversee purchasing, pricing strategies, and inventory management to maximize profitability and minimize stock discrepancies. Supervise daily shift operations, including cashiering, stocking, merchandising, and customer interactions to ensure smooth store flow. Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract customers and increase sales. Maintain organizational standards by enforcing policies on safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company procedures. Qualifications Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with a focus on team supervision and store operations. Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to effectively communicate with diverse customer bases and team members. Demonstrated expertise in retail math, budgeting, inventory management, POS systems, merchandising, and retail sales strategies. Excellent communication skills coupled with leadership qualities that motivate teams and foster a positive work environment. Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and store financials is essential. Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience in retail settings is preferred. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently using organizational skills such as time management and prioritization.
