Mechanic Shop Manager is responsible for providing daily leadership to team members, conducting morning meetings, maintaining current shop and safety procedures and scheduling. This position works closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure financial, quality, support and that all compliances are met. Employee will be required to always adhere to all safety regulations within TanMar, and that of our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Primary Focus is to track, rebuild, and maintain assets.
• Manage all shop hands assisting in motor and equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain fleet service records, DOT records and vehicle inspection reports.
• Regulate shop inventory and get parts ordered as needed.
• Maintain purchase orders.
• Participate in "on-call" responsibilities.
• Maintain all HSE protocols and ensure that all responsibilities are up to date.
• Other duties as assigned by General Manager.

Requirements:

• 5 years hands on mechanical experience
• Mack/VOLVO Certifications are a plus.
• Knowledge of John Deere Engines and Cornell Pumps a plus
• VCads and WiTECH knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of SCR and DPF
• EPA Type II (Preferred)
• Ability to inspect and diagnose hydraulic systems.
• Experience with A/C and Electrical
• Ability to multi-task
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background, drug/alcohol, and physical screening test.

Experience:

• Diesel Engine Repair 1
• Mechanical Knowledge
• A Certification of applicable credentials from an accredited trade school or university will be considered as a substitute for experience.
