Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Asst. Produce Manager. As an assistant Produce Manager, you will be responsible for Assiting the manager in overseeing all aspects of the produce department, including inventory control, sales management, and training development. This is a key leadership role within our organization, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about the market industry and has strong retail management skills.
Duties:
  • Supervise and lead a team of produce department employees
  • Ensure the proper handling and merchandising of all produce items
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement effective inventory control measures
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize sales and profitability
  • Collaborate with vendors to buy high-quality produce at competitive prices
  • Train and develop staff on product knowledge, customer service, and retail math
  • Maintain a clean and organized department in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Implement marketing initiatives to promote new products or seasonal offerings
Skills:
  • Proven experience in market or grocery store management, preferably in the produce department
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures
  • Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Demonstrated ability to make informed buying decisions based on market trends and customer preferences
  • Proficiency in sales management techniques to drive revenue growth
  • Bilingual skills (preferred) to effectively communicate with diverse customers and staff members
  • Experience in training development to enhance employee skills and performance
  • Solid understanding of retail math concepts for accurate pricing and profit analysis We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
