We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to support our Manchester, VT store location. The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is responsible for maximizing sales to achieve sales targets and location profitability by building a high-performing team, creating an elevated customer experience, and supporting the Store Manager across all aspects of store operations. The Assistant Store Manager is committed to delivering a luxurious and personalized customer experience that is rooted in genuine connection and is dedicated to the development of the store sales team. They foster an inclusive, inspiring, and collaborative environment focused on cultivating long-lasting relationships with the community, customers, and staff. The ASM displays the brand's culture & values through their daily actions and are always aiming to raise the bar; by elevating the business with their leadership skills, exceptional service, execution of visual standards, and passion for high fashion.
In short, the Assistant Store Manager serves as the Store Manager's right hand, and business partner. They assume all of the Store Manager responsibilities; and become head of store, when the SM is absent from the business. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, has experience driving business results in a high-end retail environment, and has a true love for people, service, & styling.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership + Team Management Lead by example, displaying Coco Goose's core values daily; acting as a true brand ambassador. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, respect, and professionalism. Provide team members with consistent balanced feedback, coaching, mentoring, and sales support. Effectively lead the team through the changes of a growing business; communicating updates & company initiatives. Drive results and store sales to exceed monthly / annual targets; while staying within budget parameters. Customer Service Excellence Deliver an exceptional customer experience by fostering a warm, welcoming, and personalized shopping environment that is rooted in genuine connection & relationship building. Build and maintain team clienteling tools for customer outreach; implementing a clienteling strategy. Generate brand awareness and community connections to gain new customers and retain existing customers. Address and resolve all customer inquiries, and customer service opportunities with professionalism, timeliness, and tact. Sales Support Analyze sales data to identify trends, business opportunities, and develop action plans to maximize revenue. Actively support the sales floor by assisting customers and providing floor leadership; Assistant Store Managers are expected to be present on the selling floor 95% of the time. Embody the brand's selling culture, providing personalized customer service, prioritize establishing genuine connections with customers, and always provide styling and product recommendations. Visual Merchandising Implement and maintain strategic merchandising to maximize sales and elevate the customer experience. Maintain an immaculate store presentation that reflects the boutique's luxury image, brand identity, and brand visual standards; ensuring that displays are visually appealing, aligned with seasonal trends, and reflect styling / outfitting. Operations Oversee the day-to-day operations of the boutique, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, from opening to closing. Implement regular stock audits, monitor inventory discrepancies, and address any issues with stock quickly and efficiently. Maintain SKU integrity and an organized BOH to protect the bottom line and ensure the product is always labeled and sales floor ready. All operational systems are being used to brand standard, the team is being developed on SOPs Maintain the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the physical store space; partnering with RM to escalate and resolve any facility or IT needs. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations, as well as state and company guidelines.
Qualifications:
3 years retail experience prefered, ideally in a luxury retail or high-end fashion environment. Open availability; able to work a rotating flexible schedule that includes weekend days & some holidays. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Collaborative, team orientated, and positive attitude. Exceptional customer service skills, with a passion for providing personalized shopping experiences. Sales-driven, with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Strong attention to detail and an understanding of visual merchandising standards. Proficient in POS systems, retail software, basic MS Office applications, and G-suite. A deep interest for fashion, styling, and the luxury retail industry.
