About Ride Bicycles Ride Bicycles is a mountain and gravel bike shop located in Issaquah, Washington, serving riders across the Seattle and Snoqualmie Valley trail systems. We specialize in high-end mountain bikes, gravel bikes, and e-MTB platforms along with the protection, accessories, rentals, and service that support riders on the trail. We are a premium, rider-focused shop built around clear processes, strong communication, and a consistent customer experience. Every member of our team rides and understands the products we sell. About the Role The Bicycle Shop Assistant Manager / Sales Lead plays a key role in daily store operations by leading the showroom floor, supporting the sales team, and helping maintain a consistent Ride Bicycles customer experience. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be actively working with customers, guiding purchases, supporting the sales floor, and helping keep the team organized and responsive throughout the day. When leadership is not present, this role helps oversee daily store operations across sales, service coordination, and rentals. This is a great fit for someone with bike shop experience, strong customer service skills, and leadership ability, who enjoys helping riders find the right products and keeping a busy showroom running smoothly. What You'll Do Lead daily showroom operations and keep the floor organized, responsive, and customer-ready Greet customers and guide bicycle, accessory, and equipment purchases using a consultative, education-first approach Support test rides and product comparisons based on how and where customers ride Ensure customer emails, voicemails, and inquiries receive timely responses Follow up on quotes, special orders, and pending pickups Maintain clear and accurate customer notes for team visibility Provide real-time coaching and support to sales associates during busy periods Maintain showroom standards, merchandising, and signage so the store stays professional and ready at all times Support inventory awareness by monitoring showroom stock levels and communicating reorder needs Oversee rentals and weekend operations, including rental readiness, checkouts/returns, and end-of-day procedures Open and close the store following established procedures and ensure key systems are operational What We're Looking For Organized, reliable, and strong follow-through on customer commitments Comfortable working within structured processes and team expectations Ability to manage multiple customers and priorities without losing attention to detail An active rider who understands how products perform on the trail Required Experience Prior experience in bicycle retail, bike shop operations, outdoor specialty retail, or a similar customer-focused environment Strong knowledge of mountain bikes, gravel bikes, and modern bicycle components Experience guiding customers through bike purchases, test rides, and accessory recommendations Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Weekend availability required, including Saturdays and Sundays during peak seasonal retail periods Preferred Experience Bike shop leadership experience as a Sales Lead, Key Holder, or Assistant Manager Active involvement in mountain biking or gravel riding Familiarity with Lightspeed, Shopify, Hubtiger, or similar retail systems Basic knowledge of bicycle service or mechanical terminology Compensation & Benefits $25
  • 30 per hour, DOE Employee bike industry discounts Staff access to shop demo and rental bikes Physical Requirements Ability to stand and move throughout the showroom for extended periods Ability to lift and move bicycles weighing 50+ pounds Seasonal Position This is a full-time seasonal position running from now through September 30, 2026.
