Overview Join our dynamic team as a Retail Cannabis Shift Manager and lead the charge in delivering exceptional customer experiences while managing daily store operations. This energetic role is perfect for motivated leaders who thrive in fast-paced retail environments, ensuring compliance, inventory accuracy, and team excellence. As a key driver of store success, you'll oversee staff performance, handle customer interactions with professionalism, and maintain smooth store functions to foster a welcoming and efficient shopping experience for all. Responsibilities Supervise daily store operations during your shift, ensuring all activities align with company policies and regulatory standards. Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training, coaching, and performance management to promote a high-performing retail environment. Manage inventory control processes including stock replenishment, purchasing, and merchandising to optimize product availability and presentation. Oversee cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) transactions, and cashiering duties to ensure accuracy and security. Conduct regular store audits covering security protocols, inventory checks, and compliance with cannabis regulations. Requirements Proven management experience in retail sales or similar environments with supervisory responsibilities; previous assistant manager or shift management roles are highly valued. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities to connect with diverse customers and team members. Knowledge of retail math, pricing strategies, inventory management, and POS systems. Familiarity with cannabis industry regulations or willingness to learn compliance standards specific to cannabis retailing. Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus for engaging with a diverse customer base. Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience in training & development, supervising staff. Ability to handle cash accurately, perform retail bookkeeping tasks, and ensure store security protocols are followed diligently.
