Assistant Store Manager

Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager will play a vital role in supporting the overall operations and success of our Manga Spot. This position involves assisting the Store Manager in various managerial tasks, staff supervision, customer service, inventory management, and maintaining the store's overall appearance and functionality. The Assistant Store Manager will uphold the store's standards and contribute to creating a positive and enjoyable shopping experience for our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Store Manager in training and supervising sales clerks, ensuring they deliver exceptional customer service. Provide clear guidance and direction to staff members, fostering a positive work environment. Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, handling customer inquiries, and resolving any issues or concerns. Work closely with the Store Manager to oversee inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, restocking, and proper product placement. Assist in ensuring the store is well-maintained, organized, and visually appealing at all times. Contribute to the development and implementation of operational procedures and policies to optimize store efficiency. Collaborate with the Store Manager to set and achieve sales targets and goals.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

Previous retail management experience, ideally in a bookstore or related industry. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities. A genuine passion for manga and a good understanding of various literary genres and authors.
