About the Role The Store Manager is responsible for leading the overall direction, performance, and execution of store operations. This role sets both the vision and the standard for how the business operates day-to-day and how it grows over time. Beyond managing operations, the Store Manager drives strategy, alignment, and accountability across the leadership team. This includes shaping how systems are implemented, how leaders show up, and how the store evolves to meet both customer demand and business goals. This role is accountable for translating strategy into measurable results using data, KPIs, and consistent follow-through to ensure the business is moving forward. The Store Manager oversees performance while actively guiding, tracking, and improving it. Responsibilities Strategic Leadership, Vision & Performance Set the strategic direction for store performance, team development, and operational growth Translate business goals into clear priorities, systems, and action plans Establish, track, and actively manage key performance indicators (KPIs) across the store Drive forward movement by identifying gaps, adjusting strategy, and ensuring progress over time Lead the evolution of store systems, merchandising approach, and team structure Ensure leadership alignment so that strategy is consistently executed Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and develop the leadership team (Assistant Manager, Shift Leads, Purchasing Manager, Inventory Manager) Establish and reinforce clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards Build leadership capability through ongoing coaching, feedback, and development Create a culture where ownership, communication, and growth are part of daily operations Maintain strong leadership visibility and presence across the store Operations & Systems Execution Oversee all store operations, ensuring consistency and follow-through across shifts Implement and reinforce SOPs across front of house, back of house, and inventory practices Ensure systems (Slack, Google Drive, Comploy, POSaBIT) are actively used and maintained Monitor operational flow and refine systems to improve efficiency and clarity Lead structured team and leadership meetings, including Leadership Labs and check-ins Inventory & Financial Performance Oversee inventory strategy in partnership with the Purchasing Manager Ensure strong inventory health, product flow, and margin awareness Align purchasing, merchandising, and sales strategy to support business goals Monitor financial performance and adjust operations to support profitability Maintain accountability around cash handling, reporting, and operational expenses Compliance & Risk Management Ensure full compliance with Washington State cannabis regulations and company policies Maintain audit readiness through consistent systems and documentation Reinforce compliance as a daily practice through leadership and training Address and resolve compliance risks proactively Customer Experience Set and uphold the standard for customer experience across the store Ensure the team delivers knowledgeable, efficient, and welcoming service Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements where needed Support resolution of escalated customer situations KPI Ownership & Business Accountability Regularly review performance data and communicate insights to leadership team Hold leadership team accountable to metrics, goals, and follow-through Create visibility around performance through reporting, conversations, and team awareness Ensure the store is consistently progressing, not maintaining status quo Own store-level performance metrics including (but not limited to): Sales growth and revenue trends Average transaction value (ATV) and units per transaction (UPT) Inventory health (sell-through, aging product, shrink) Labor efficiency and scheduling alignment Team performance and retention What We're Looking For Strong leadership presence with the ability to set direction and drive results Experience managing managers and developing leadership teams Ability to think strategically while staying grounded in day-to-day operations Comfortable working with metrics, data, and performance tracking Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills Clear, direct, and professional communicator Highly organized with strong follow-through Preferred Experience Must be 21 years of age with valid identification Reliable transportation and excellent attendance 3-5+ years retail management experience required Cannabis retail experience strongly preferred Experience managing high-volume retail environments Experience with inventory systems, reporting, and KPI management Schedule Full-timeEvening, weekend, and holiday availability required Benefits (Full-Time Eligible) Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insurancePaid time offEmployee discount Leadership Culture at The Green Room At The Green Room, leadership is rooted in clarity, consistency, and accountability. $65,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
