Overview We are seeking a friendly and energetic Retail Assistant Manager and a Ratail Assistant, to join our team as part-time (Fron Monday to Friday). This position is available for our Redmond locations: Redmond (Microsoft Campus) Building 6, 15745 Ne 36th St RedmondWA, 98052.
Role Overview:
The Bakery Retail Assistant is representing the brand, serves customers at the counter and helps maintain an inviting, efficient bakery environment. This role involves selling pastries, breads, and other food items, answering customer questions, packaging purchases, processing payments, and keeping displays clean, stocked, and attractive. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, organized, and committed to excellent customer service and food safety.Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service at the bakery counter.
- Assist customers with selecting pastries, breads, sandwiches, and other food items.
- Answer questions about products, ingredients, allergens, and daily specials.
- Package, label, and present purchased items neatly and accurately.
- Operate the cash register or point-of-sale system and process cash, card, and digital payments.
- Restock display cases, shelves, and packaging supplies throughout the shift.
- Monitor freshness and product quality, rotating stock and removing items that no longer meet standards.
- Keep the counter, display area, and work surfaces clean, organized, and sanitary.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Support opening and closing duties, including setup, cleanup, and basic inventory checks. . Promote and upsell catering items. Qualifications and Skills
- Previous retail, bakery, café, or food service experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable handling payments and using a cash register or POS system.
- Ability to work efficiently , and maintain activity during quiet times.
- Basic knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and allergen awareness.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when packaging and processing orders.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or carry light to moderate loads as needed.
Compensation:
This position is paid $23/h for Retail Assistant and $25/h for a Retail Assistant Manager+ Incentive Each employee is entitled to 1 free coffee drink and 1 free baked good /shift Free ORCA cardPay:
