Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) (3) non-profit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest. The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Dental Medicine, Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences, and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy enrolling over 550 students annually. Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a five-state region. PNWU is located in Yakima, WA, a city of approximately 95,000 located in the south-central part of the state near the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains in a major agricultural and outdoor recreation region. The Program Manager for the School of Dental Medicine is a 1.0 FTE administrative professional who provides integrated support for Academic Affairs (0.6 FTE) and student recruitment and retention (0.4 FTE) to sustain the school's rapid program growth and mission. This role coordinates curriculum operations and faculty support while also managing key elements of the admissions pipeline, onboarding, and early student engagement. This position reports to the Associate Dean forAcademic Affairs Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinate course schedules, syllabi, and curriculum implementation for new or revised courses.
- Monitor curriculum alignment with accreditation standards.
- Organize program assessment, evaluation activities, and work with faculty on course development activities.
- Manage communications and resources to support faculty in teaching and using assessment data.
- Coordinate interview days, including scheduling applicants, organizing interview teams, and logistics for on-campus or virtual experiences.
- Serve as central liaison for applicant communications on interview logistics, materials, timelines, and next steps.
- Lead planning and execution of student onboarding and orientation, including timelines, checklists, and collaboration with university services.
- Track and organize recruitment, interview, yield, and early student engagement data with Admissions Office.
- Performs other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need.
