Assistant Manager

About the Role As an Assistant Manager, you'll work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, develop your team, and drive performance. This is a hands-on leadership role with real responsibility and a clear path to General Manager. What You'll Do Supervise and coach crew members and shift leads Assist with onboarding, and training of new team members Manage daily operations including food prep, inventory, and ordering Ensure compliance with Subway brand standards, food safety, and sanitation requirements Handle scheduling support, and cash management Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally Step in as acting manager in the General Manager's absence Help drive sales, control food costs, and achieve store targets Communicate performance feedback and hold team members accountable Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and staff What We're Looking For 1+ year of supervisory experience in food service or retail preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to lead by example and hold team members accountable Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment Proficiency with basic computer tasks including scheduling software, email, and reporting Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays Must be 18 or older Perks Competitive pay Employee discount Flexible scheduling Meals while on shift Paid training and development Growth path to General Manager Equal Opportunity Employment Subway is an equal opportunity employer.
