Job Description

Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist:
Department Manager Are you an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist looking to take the next step in your career? Do you excel in both leadership and clinical expertise? We are seeking a dynamic Manager for our Speech-Language Department to lead a dedicated team of therapists while ensuring top-quality care for our pediatric patients in an outpatient clinic setting. About the
Role:
As the Manager of the Speech-Language Department, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the department, mentor junior therapists, and lead the growth and development of our expanding program. This role offers the unique opportunity to combine hands-on clinical care with leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Mentorship :
Conduct weekly individual meetings with team to provide guidance, monitor progress, and foster professional development.
Oversight of Production Targets :
Monitor and ensure departmental productivity and performance metrics are met, while maintaining the highest level of care for patients.
Program Expansion :
Collaborate with the leadership team to design and implement strategies for expanding our pediatric speech-language program, including new services and innovative approaches.
Patient Care :
Maintain a caseload of pediatric patients to ensure clinical skills remain sharp, and contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans for children with speech, language, and feeding disorders.
Team Collaboration :
Work closely with other department leaders, including Occupational and Physical Therapy teams, to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric speech therapy. Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
