The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in daily operations of all departments, leadership, and overall store performance. This role helps ensure compliance with company policies while maintaining strong customer service and operational standards. Responsibilities include assisting with employee supervision, hiring and training, merchandising, inventory control, receiving, bookkeeping and front-end/POS operations. The Assistant Store Manager promotes accountability, supports store goals, ensures proper handling of company assets, and helps maintain a clean, organized, and customer-focused environment. This position also assists with communication across teams, supports company initiatives, and helps ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Previous grocery retail or retail leadership experience preferred Strong knowledge of store operations, merchandising, and inventory practices Proven leadership and team supervision skills Ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple departments in a fast-paced environment Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities Must be at least 21 years of age or older Ability to meet company-wide essential functions, including physical requirements and scheduling flexibility, with or without reasonable accommodation
