Job Description

Assistant - Operations & Sales Support Eye of the Day, Inc Eye of the Day Garden Design Center imports authentic European garden décor, including Italian terracotta, French Anduze pottery and handcrafted Greek planters. Our showroom is unique, creative, and inspiring, and we're proud of the relationships we have strived to build with our clients. We are looking for an Assistant to support our daily operations and sales team. It is not necessary to have every qualification listed below, we are happy to train the right person who has a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. About the Role This position supports office operations, sales coordination, inventory communication, and basic financial documentation. You will work closely with our management and warehouse team to help keep communication running smoothly. It's a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sales support, operations, and business administration within a luxury retail environment. What You'll Do Answer and direct incoming calls in a friendly, professional manner Assist with sales inquiries and prepare sales orders Help coordinate deliveries and scheduling Review orders for accuracy Cross-check payments and supporting POS accuracy Confirm inventory availability with our warehouse team Keep digital and physical files organized Support general office workflow and team communication What We're Looking For Prior office experience (real estate, escrow, accounting office, or similar is helpful but not required) Customer service experience Understanding of numbers and comfort reviewing pricing and totals Strong attention to detail Ability to stay organized in a busy environment A self-starter who can work independently once trained Helpful (But Not Required) Skills Microsoft Excel (basic formulas and tracking) Microsoft Word and Outlook Adobe Acrobat Experience with POS or inventory systems This is a non-exempt position under California law. Overtime, meal periods, and rest breaks are provided in accordance with state regulations. Compensation is based on experience.
