Cemetery Family Service Sales Assistant Express Employment Professionals - South Pasadena, CA - 3.8 San Gabriel, CA Job Details Full-time $24.26 - $29.21 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Outdoor work High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and organized professional to join our cemetery and memorial services team as a Family Services Administrative Coordinator. This role combines customer support, office administration, and operational assistance to help families navigate cemetery services with care and professionalism. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, personable, and capable of handling sensitive situations with empathy and discretion. This full-time, on-site position plays a key role in supporting daily office functions, coordinating service arrangements, and assisting the Family Services team. Key ResponsibilitiesClient & Family Support Greet and assist visitors in a courteous and compassionate manner. Respond to phone calls, emails, and general inquiries regarding cemetery services and memorial options. Guide families through required documentation and service-related paperwork. Maintain clear communication between families, funeral homes, clergy, and cemetery personnel. Administrative & Office Coordination Support the Family Services department with scheduling, correspondence, and day-to-day office tasks. Prepare service documents, agreements, presentation materials, and informational packets. Maintain accurate customer records and update internal databases and CRM systems. Process payments, contracts, and related administrative paperwork. Assist with reports, spreadsheets, inventory tracking, and general office organization. Service & Event Coordination Represent the cemetery professionally during funeral, graveside, and memorial services. Coordinate with funeral directors, operations staff, and family members to ensure services run smoothly. Confirm scheduling details and accommodate special requests whenever possible. Provide on-site support during services held throughout cemetery grounds. Team & Community Support Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions. Assist with outreach programs, events, and community engagement activities as needed. Uphold confidentiality standards regarding family and business information. Perform additional duties assigned by leadership. QualificationsPreferred Background High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional college coursework or an associate degree is a plus. Experience in customer service, administrative support, hospitality, funeral services, or a related field preferred. Skills & Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Professional, empathetic, and service-oriented demeanor. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to quickly learn internal software and database systems. Physical & Work Environment Combination of office work and outdoor responsibilities throughout cemetery grounds. Ability to stand, walk, and move between locations for extended periods. Must be comfortable attending outdoor services in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift or carry office materials up to 25 pounds.
Pay:
$24.26 - $29.21 per hour
