Occasional travel required Position Summary Carolina Skiff is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Sales Assistant to support our fast-paced sales department. This position is primarily an in-house role that serves as a critical link between our outside sales representatives, dealer network, and internal sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing and documenting boat orders, ensuring accurate communication of order details, assisting with dealer development efforts, and providing outstanding support to to our dealer network. As the individual grows within the role and gains product knowledge, opportunities may arise to represent Carolina Skiff at dealer visits, industry events, and boat shows. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Communicate daily with outside sales representatives and authorized dealers regarding boat orders, product specifications, pricing, and order status. Accurately document and process boat orders while ensuring all required information is complete and correct. Coordinate with the accounting department to provide timely and accurate order information for invoicing and payment processing. Maintain sales records, customer information, and order documentation within company systems. Serve as a point of contact for dealers regarding order inquiries, updates, and general support. Conduct outbound prospecting and cold calls to potential dealers to assist in expanding Carolina Skiff's dealer network. Research and identify prospective dealership opportunities in targeted markets and relay this information to outside sales representatives. Assist with preparation of sales reports, presentations, and dealer communications. Support sales initiatives, promotions, and product launches. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a seamless dealer experience. Represent Carolina Skiff professionally in all communications and interactions. Attend boat shows, dealer meetings, trade events, as needed. Perform additional administrative and sales support duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Skills and Experience
  • Sales experience, particularly in a business-to-business (B2B) environment, is strongly preferred. Candidates should be comfortable building relationships, prospecting new dealer opportunities, and supporting sales growth initiatives.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in sales support, customer service, administrative support, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and strong customer service mindset.
  • Comfortable making outbound prospecting and cold calls.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Quick learner with a willingness to gain knowledge of Carolina Skiff products and the marine industry.
Preferred Qualifications Experience working with dealers, distributors, or business-to-business sales channels. Knowledge of the boating or marine industry is a plus but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds. Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
