Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and motivated Sales Assistant to join our dynamic retail team. In this role, you will be the friendly face that welcomes customers, provides expert product guidance, and ensures an exceptional shopping experience. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs Conduct engaging product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, returns, and exchanges Upsell complementary products and services to maximize sales opportunities Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy Handle cash, process payments accurately, and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock replenishment Use effective phone etiquette when communicating with customers or suppliers Assist in training new team members and supervising junior staff when needed Requirements Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities is a plus Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are highly desirable Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques to enhance sales performance Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory control practices Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy Professional phone etiquette when engaging with customers or vendors Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering outstanding shopping experiences!
