Skills Sales/Office Assistant
PLANT KNOWLEDGE A PLUS!
Thorsen's Greenhouse is a growing, vibrant, team-oriented wholesale family business specializing in foliage, tropical and blooming plants. We strive to provide a healthy work-life balance for all employees. The Sales Office Assistant is responsible for sales and customer service activities. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, positive, energetic candidate with high enthusiasm in a fast-paced sales office to support our sales team. This ideal person will be professional, organized and comfortable working with a high degree of attention-to-detail along with providing excellent customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Answer incoming phone calls in a cheerful manner and direct inquiries appropriately Assist customers with basic plant product availability and order information Enter customer orders accurately into the computer system Print invoice, pick tickets and related order documentation Assist with reconciling paperwork Provide general office support Provide assistance with miscellaneous administrative duties and support to greenhouse teams as needed SKILLS At least one year of experience as an office assistant or customer service representative Strong attention-to-detail, organizational and communication skills The ability to lift and/or move 40pounds is required Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills Positive attitude and willingness to support the team Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook The hours are 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday • Perks include our employee discount on plants; monthly employee luncheon; Yoga; Donut Fridays along with take your well-behaved dog to work days!
