Job Description

AquaBlok, Ltd. (Swanton, Ohio), manufacturer of proprietary products for environmental and geotechnical applications, is seeking an inside technical sales and marketing professional to work directly with and support the Company's sales organization and external distribution network. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in building relationships, finding and cultivating new opportunities, communication with various audiences both internally and externally and a passion for winning business. Inside Technical Sales - Field prospective customer and distributor inquiries and provide and acquire information necessary to develop sales proposals as required Provide Sales Support with CRM software; assist with sales data management, data mining, prospective client and customer follow-ups, sales tracking, and sales reporting Maintain and provide direct follow-up on inquiries and tracking reports Maintain frequent and updated communications with the Sales Manager. Provide updates of daily activity and developments related to technical sales and marketing outreach Marketing - Manage and develop marketing materials and content, including installation summaries, press releases, electronic newsletters, etc. Manage and coordinate training for distributor network, trade show activity and technical presentations including literature, display materials, product samples together with other pre-show or post-show lead generation/follow up activities. Will involve travel and participation at events. Manage, maintain, and develop updated web content, including relevant social media. Investigate and report on sales/market opportunities, develop strategies to pursue new or unique markets. Provide Sales Support with CRM software; assist with sales data management, data mining, prospective client and customer follow-ups, sales tracking, and sales reporting Maintain and provide direct follow-up on inquiries and tracking reports Maintain frequent and updated communications with the Sales Manager. Provide updates of daily activity and developments related to technical sales and marketing outreach
  • 4 Year Degree and/or experience in a business relating to civil engineering, building/construction materials, construction management, drilling/mining, or water resources
  • Technical background or practical/working understanding of technical aspects of products and applications. Examples include civil engineering, construction management, soil science, or geology.
  • Ability to read/interpret construction plans and specifications, familiarity with building codes and ability to complete quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including direct customer interaction.
  • Proficiency in a PC and Web-based environment; fully capable with all Microsoft Business software (able to prepare quotes, sales and financial reporting, presentations, etc. utilizing Word, Excel, PowerPoint)and experience with web search engines and AutoCAD a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software (e.g. Salesforce) preferred
  • Ability to work effectively both independently with minimum supervision and in a small team environment to achieve measurable goals.
