Duties Assist customers with product selections, answer questions, and provide detailed product demonstrations to enhance their shopping experience Operate the point of sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments Stock shelves, merchandise displays, and ensure the store is organized and visually appealing through effective merchandising Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management to keep the store well-stocked and organized Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending complementary items to increase sales Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Supervise junior team members when needed, providing guidance on customer service and sales techniques Skills Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail or grocery store setting Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively Demonstrated ability to conduct product demos confidently and persuasively Supervising experience is a plus, with the ability to lead by example and motivate team members Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Knowledge of retail math for accurate cash register operations and inventory management Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for transactions and stock counts Familiarity with grocery store operations, including stocking, merchandising, and cashiering tasks Strong phone etiquette for professional remote communication during customer inquiries or internal coordination Join us as a Sales Assistant if you're passionate about delivering outstanding service, eager to learn new skills, and ready to thrive in a lively retail environment.
