  • Global top ten manufacturer of industrial Ni-Cd and Lead Acid batteries is seeking a B2B Sales engineer for its growing US sales office / distribution center in central Connecticut.
The successful candidate will have a desire to generate engineered product sales with an electrical or electronics background preferred. You will become knowledgeable of our product lines driving business growth into target markets. Prior experience in industrial UPS and switch gear markets to include utility, telecom, rail would be beneficial and experience in industrial Ni-Cd or Lead Acid battery applications is preferred. Under the direction of the Industrial Battery Sales Manager the successful candidates' general responsibilities are as summarized but not limited to the following:
  • Prospect for new business within target market to include lead generation and follow-up.
  • Present HBL products to potential clients through direct communication via phone, emails and customer visits as required. Regular travel to customers across the USA will be required.
  • Closing new business deals by coordinating customer requirements; developing and negotiating contracts.
  • Collaborate with HBL management on development of target markets to include effective pricing, competition advantages and pursuing product opportunities.
  • Create and be accountable for all proposals, contracts and any providing further documentation in support of the assigned clients.
  • Other responsibilities to be assigned as deemed appropriate by HBL management
Requirements:
  • Entrepreneurial, independently driven.
  • Two years' experience in Technical Sales, Marketing, or related commercial business functions.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Business or Engineering degree preferred
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills. Proficient in use of common business software
  • Word, Excel, Power Point, CRM Programs
  • High level of communication skills and ability to establish and maintain long-term relationships
  • Ability to demonstrate an aptitude for reading, understanding and responding to technical specifications, and contract documentation.
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities using web research tools / sector specific targeting and ability to approach new clients.
  • Ability to Travel is required.
  • Must be local to sales office as remote positions will not be considered
