Job Description

Stan Weaver & Company, Inc. is the leading manufacturer's representative with offices in Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Miami, and Palm Beach. Products are promoted to engineers and owners through our staff of engineers and sold to contractors through our experienced sales team. Our company provides support to engineers that design heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems on products ranging from air distribution, fans, energy-recovery ventilators, packaged ventilation, make-up air units, dampers, louvers, kitchen ventilation systems, laboratory exhaust systems, and more. You will find our flagship ventilation products behind walls, in ductwork, and on the roofs of hospitals, office buildings, hotels, shopping malls, restaurants, schools, industrial plants, warehouses, data centers, and other commercial buildings. The support we provide is for the selection of equipment used in these systems with the knowledge and impact of both state and federal codes. Position:
Sales Engineer The Sales Engineer is an outside sales position that sells, markets, manages, and influences specifications to Owners, GC/CM's, Architects/Engineers, OEM Equipment Manufacturers (Trane, Carrier, York, etc.) in the buying phase of the projects who will be the decision maker, in lieu of the traditional mechanical contractor customers.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead the effort to grow products sales to nontraditional customers at Stan Weaver. Serve as lead contact for all applied sales opportunities Perform in estimator capacity (as described below) Coordinate with customer salesperson on projects with applied equipment and provide support through submittals Serve as main liaison for applied products through installation, start-up, and service. Travel to factory with customers Performs other duties as assigned. Support engineering sales team in driving applied products Basis of Design Provide applied equipment selections for engineers Participate in Lunch and Learns, office visits and other educational efforts Coordinate manufacturer visits Serve as the primary contact with Applied Equipment factories on updates, issues, factory visits and events Work with marketing to coordinate and set up events and marketing campaigns Travel to factory with engineers Perform in an estimator capacity for applied product categories, which entails: Review applied product scope, price products, and add scope to quotation in FACTS. Coordinate with Estimating Manager, Estimators, and Bid Coordinators on estimating opportunities. Participate in bid meetings and coordinate with sales on how to bid the project in market.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to effectively interface with sales, contractors and engineers is strongly preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills. Technical understanding and experience with HVAC technologies is considered ideal. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to learn our ERP program Capable of working independently Ability to work effectively in a rapid pace work environment. Ability to understand and apply business considerations to project support. Ability to travel domestically Requirements Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or construction management 3+ years of HVAC Engineering related experience Outgoing personality with experience in sales and working with customers Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in English Benefits Comprehensive Benefits Coverage
