Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Application Engineer specializing in Industrial Automation to join our innovative team. In this role, you serve as a technical expert in industrial automation, focused on applying photoelectric sensor solutions to real world customer challenges. This role works across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Service to identify, demonstrate, and implement effective sensing solutions. The position plays a key role in supporting revenue growth by assisting customers and sales teams, developing application knowledge, and creating technical content that strengthens Tri-Tronics' position as a trusted partner. Duties Serve as subject matter expert on photoelectric sensors and industrial sensing applications Identify product gaps and communicate findings to Product Management and Engineering Work directly with customers, distributors, and sales teams to evaluate and solve application challenges Recommend appropriate sensor solutions based on application requirements Provide troubleshooting support both remotely and onsite as needed Respond to customer inquiries with timely and accurate technical support Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer focus in all interactions Support key accounts and strategic opportunities in coordination with the sales team Perform product demonstrations in person, virtual, and in studio environments Deliver training to customers, distributors, and internal teams Develop and deliver product and application training programs for new and existing employees Support Sales and Marketing as a technical resource for product positioning and application guidance Create technical documentation, product literature, and application guides Assist with trade shows, customer visits, and product demonstrations Create application focused content including videos, demonstrations, case studies, and training materials using the Tri-Tronics studio Build and maintain an internal application knowledge base Document successful applications to support future sales and training effort Contribute to training platforms such as Learn TTCO Monitor industry trends, competitive products, and application developments Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and customer support methods Contribute ideas that enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department Skills Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn complex products Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Excellent presentation and public speaking skills Strong problem solving and analytical thinking abilities High attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in
