Fastener Quality Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking Fastener Quality Engineer with a solid fastener/hardware Engineering background to be able to support our internal product evaluation process and customer service initiatives. Lawrence Screw Products recently is celebrating 49 years in the business of providing customer service, fasteners and hardware, and satisfaction to all of our customers! Duties/Responsibilities:

Manage and support fastener related issues and assist the customer in solving joint problems Manage and support the development of fastener applications. Manage and support customer technical objectives. Consult with Sales/Purchasing to manage and support cost and timing information. Evaluate blueprints to specifications. Manage and support the customer fastener release process Manage and follow up of customer initiated new project development plans and ensure the project proceeds as scheduled including communication to customer and internal Lawrence Screw team about the progress and status. Support part consolidation - propose standardization possibilities. Depending on assignment or project, on-site support can be required at customer locations and/or Lawrence Screw locations. Support internal initiatives.

Skills/Qualifications:

Degree in mechanical engineering or equal by experience. Several years of engineering experience. Fastener Engineering/Inspection Knowledge Knowledge of automotive quality standards is a plus (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, CONTROL PLANS and 8D or similar corrective actions. Project experience and experienced to work in cross functional teams is a plus. Customer focus, good communication and interpersonal skills Team player & ability to work independently Used to working with deadlines & flexible mind-set Good Organizational skills Good knowledge of English (written and spoken) Experience with CAD would be a big plus. Analyzing Information, Reporting Research Results General understanding of

ISO 9001

Quality Systems Rohs, Reach and Prop 65 background is a plus.
