Technical Service Representative Job Description The role involves providing inbound phone support for customers requiring troubleshooting assistance with inverters, inverter batteries, and electrical accessories and components. The candidate will guide OEMs, installers, dealers, and end users through step-by-step troubleshooting processes, deliver clear instructions, and recommend next steps. Additionally, the role requires processing and assisting with warranty claims, return authorizations (RMAs), and part replacements, and coordinating with Engineering and Product Support teams to report product failures, trends, or design concerns. Responsibilities Provide inbound phone support for troubleshooting assistance. Guide OEMs, installers, dealers, and end users through troubleshooting processes. Deliver clear instructions and recommend next steps. Process and assist with warranty claims, return authorizations (RMAs), and part replacements. Coordinate with Engineering and Product Support teams to report product failures, trends, or design concerns. Essential Skills 3+ years of customer-facing experience. Ability to troubleshoot problems logically and clearly over the phone. Basic understanding of electrical concepts or technical curiosity/aptitude. Comfortable working in a phone-based support environment. Proficient in MS Office applications, with a focus on electrical and power knowledge. Additional Skills & Qualifications Understanding of AC vs. DC power. Knowledge of voltage and basic electrical flow. Experience using tools like multimeters. Experience in industries such as RV or automotive, electrical, mechanical, or field service, and technical customer support. Work Environment The role is based in a small team environment of 8 people, but offers the perks of a large company. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain tangible, technical product experience in a supportive and collaborative setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkhart, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
