Job Description

Job Title:
Sales Development Trainer (Technical Sales) Job Description We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Development Trainer to lead technical sales and product training for dealer and rental channels across North America. This role focuses on delivering structured training centered around equipment applications, consultative selling, and dealer sales processes. Responsibilities Plan and deliver in‑person and virtual training at various locations including CEC, regional sites, and dealer locations. Develop and maintain technical sales curricula, product training modules, and e‑learning content. Train dealers on application‑based selling, needs analysis, technical sales calls, objection handling, and structuring, financing, and territory management. Collect and apply feedback to continuously improve training effectiveness. Travel with sales and support teams to identify real‑world dealer and jobsite training needs. Support additional marketing initiatives as required. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Engineering, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in the construction equipment industry (dealer or OEM) in sales, training, or technical presentation and communication skills. Working knowledge of construction equipment, jobsite applications, and dealer sales models. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in sales engineering, technical sales, sales management, customer service, and account management. Work Environment This role is based in Lexington, KY, with 25% travel required to various locations for training and support. The work environment includes both in-person and virtual training settings. The role requires collaboration with Learning & Development teams to create scalable, data-driven training content. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
