We're a leading foundry manufacturer looking for an Analytics Sales Engineer to be the front line for our customers, helping them harness the power of Industry 4.0 to revolutionize their operations. In this role, you'll be an integral part of our Industry 4.0 team, focusing on generating sales, the deployment, optimization, and expansion of our IoT solutions. You'll work directly with our customers, guiding them through the entire lifecycle of their IoT journey - from initial setup and training to advanced troubleshooting and identifying new areas for innovation. What You'll Do:
As an IoT Sales Engineer, you'll be the trusted technical advisor for our customers. Your day-to-day will involve a blend of sales, customer interaction, technical expertise, and strategic thinking:
Customer Engagement & Support:
Be the primary point of contact for customer setup, troubleshooting, and training on our IoT platform. Coach customers on effectively using our data analysis platform to maximize production output. Translate customer data visualization requests into actionable dashboards and reports, and maintain them as needed. Conduct on-site visits to provide hands-on support, training, and strategic guidance. Ask targeted questions to quickly understand the root of problems and requests, guiding clients through solutions via phone, email, or in person. Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers, ensuring all issues are properly logged and managed. Maintain strong, jovial relationships with clients, earning their trust as a reliable technical partner.
Technical Implementation & Optimization:
Become an expert user of our proprietary data analysis platform, Sinto Smart Foundry. Configure and deploy edge device hardware for data collection within foundry environments. Install, configure, diagnose, and troubleshoot software and hardware problems to ensure a seamless customer experience. Configure and deploy the software backend for data collection. Populate new and existing customer installations with new and updated reports. Work closely with our engineering team to define the sequence of operations and data required for optimal system performance. Follow up with clients to ensure the data being collected is accurate and reliable.
Sales Engineering & Business Development:
Prospect, identify, and close deals and opportunities for new sales of our I4.0 Solutions. Assist in generating estimates for IoT solutions (line side, driver development). Identify and uncover new areas of use for our IoT solutions within customer operations. Contribute to special projects involving advanced technologies like AI, process control, and machine learning .
What We're Looking For:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in a sales engineer, field application engineer, technical support, or similar customer-facing technical role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Technical Proficiency:
Fundamental understanding and positioning of Industry 4.0 core technologies and how systems are integrated. Extensive experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Leveraging data to demonstrate value and optimize processes. ROI Calculation to translate technical benefits into financial value. Experience with cloud technologies and edge computing (GCP, AWS, or Azure). Strong network knowledge, including understanding of subnets, gateways, DNS, NAT routing, and VPNs. Understanding of Cybersecurity Fundamentals Basic knowledge of PLCs. Experience with programming languages (e.g., HTML, Java, CSS, Python). Experience with data analysis, data modeling, machine learning, or artificial intelligence is a significant plus.
Problem-Solving Skills:
A strong ability to break down and understand complex problems. You should be adept at diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, including installation and network configuration problems.
Customer Focus:
A "customer first" mentality is essential. You must be empathetic, patient, and skilled at explaining complex technical details in a clear and simple manner to a variety of audiences.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide accurate and timely reports and documentation.
Adaptability:
Ability to prioritize and manage several open issues at one time, and to adapt to evolving customer needs and technological advancements. Ultimately, you will be a person our customers trust implicitly. They will rely on you to provide timely and accurate solutions to their technical challenges and to help them unlock new efficiencies through our IoT offerings.
