Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Sales Engineer representing OEM business. The Sales Engineer locates, develops, and provides business support to all potential engine customers in their assigned territory. This position will develop new sales opportunities with existing customers and seek out new OEM engine business. This position will support OEM engine customers through the following job responsibilities: working through customer account commercial issues, managing inventory to ensure customer needs are met, coordinating the process of engineering and producing engine assembles to customer requirements, supporting the customer as needs arise when engines are placed into commerce.
Responsibilities:
Analyzes engine sales opportunities in the territory and systematically targets business opportunities with new OEMs Documents the engine and component specifications required by individual customers Monitors and manages Accounts Payable and Receivable to ensure they are current Documents sales quotations for customers using standard Ziegler formatting Coordinates the activities of support divisions within Ziegler and Caterpillar to manage product field service and product quality issues Tracks sales opportunities using Ziegler-approved software Works in a cooperative manner with team and superiors Finds new OEM customers and grow business within Ziegler's territory. Works directly with the customer's engineering personnel to analyze their power systems needs and assists them in finding the most efficient product solution Acts as key negotiator on all commercial aspects of assigned accounts Maintains responsibility for changes in engineering specifications and documents these changes using the Engineer Change Notice (ECN) Compiles appropriate technical information to support engine proposals for customer consideration and coordinates actions to correct chronic product reliability issues in the field. Works with customers to specify and locate all components required to install Caterpillar enginesQualifications:
Bachelor's degree required 5+ years of technical sales experiencePersonal Attributes:
Customer Focus, Problem Solving, Attention to Detail, Sociability, Achievement Orientation Strong mechanical aptitude Working knowledge of internal combustion engine installations and drive trains Excellent ability to negotiate and influence Analytical and able to problem solve independently Must have and maintain a clean driving recordTravel:

The total compensation (base plus incentive) for this position is $136,000.00 to $204,000.00 Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, and education.
