Growth / Solutions About EarthDaily Federal EarthDaily Federal builds advanced geospatial analytics solutions powering mission-critical decisions across defense, environmental monitoring, and commercial earth observation. Leveraging cloud-native architectures and remote sensing expertise, our platforms deliver real-time actionable insights from the Earth's dynamic surface. As a remote-first company, we prioritize impact over location, fostering a collaborative environment where solving complex data challenges supports global security and sustainability missions. The Opportunity EarthDaily Federal is hiring a Sales Engineer who can build, explain, and sell. You will sit between the customer, BD, and engineering. In a single week you might run a discovery call with an intel analyst, prototype a working dashboard against our APIs the next day, then walk that prototype back to engineering with a clear spec for productionizing it. This role is for someone who is genuinely technical and genuinely good with people. You should be comfortable writing code, even if it isn't your day job, and comfortable standing in front of a room of government customers explaining what our platform does and why it matters to their mission. We are looking for the rare combination of technical builder, customer translator, and commercial closer. What You'll Do Partner with BD across the full sales cycle: discovery, demo, technical deep-dive, POC, and close. Build working prototypes and custom dashboards against EarthDaily APIs to show customers what their data can look like in their own workflow. Translate customer requirements into clear, scoped specs that engineering can productionize without back-and-forth. Run technical demos and capability briefings for analysts, program managers, and contracting officers. Lead pilots and POCs from kickoff through results readout, including success criteria, integration support, and stakeholder communication. Contribute technical content to proposals:
solution narratives, architecture diagrams, integration approaches. Serve as the technical voice of the customer inside EarthDaily, feeding patterns and gaps back to product and engineering. Represent EarthDaily at industry days, hackathons, and customer engagements where technical credibility matters. What You'll Bring 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role: sales engineering, solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering, technical product, or applied data work. Hands-on coding ability. You can stand up a dashboard or data pipeline yourself, using AI-assisted tools where useful, without waiting on engineering. Comfortable with Python and at least one frontend or notebook stack (Streamlit, Next.js, Jupyter, or similar). Ability to write a clean technical spec: scope, inputs, outputs, edge cases, and acceptance criteria that engineering can act on. Strong communication skills, both written and in front of a room. You can explain a technical concept to a non-technical buyer and a procurement concept to an engineer. Demonstrated sales ability:
closed deals, led POCs to award, or carried a technical quota in a prior role. Experience at a startup or small company where you wore multiple hats and owned outcomes end-to-end. Familiarity with geospatial data, remote sensing, or GEOINT workflows is a strong plus; willingness to learn quickly is required. Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI strongly preferred. S. Citizenship required due to federal contract eligibility. Willing to travel up to 30% to customer sites and bases. Tools You'll Use AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) for rapid prototyping Python and JavaScript/TypeScript for dashboards and scripts Common geospatial libraries (GDAL, rasterio, GeoPandas) and viewers (QGIS, Cesium, Mapbox, Kepler.gl) Notebooks (Jupyter), lightweight web frameworks (Streamlit, Next.js, Flask) REST/GraphQL APIs, Postman, and basic SQL Why Join EarthDaily Federal Work on mission-critical geospatial intelligence systems impacting national security. Small, capable team with direct line of sight from your work to customer outcomes. Competitive compensation, benefits, and meaningful equity in a growing federal business. Real ownership of pipeline, accounts, and outcomes without the layers of a large prime.
