This is a high-impact role focused on developing strategic customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving growth within advanced manufacturing markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background combined with business development experience, particularly within precision machining, fabrication, automation, or industrial manufacturing environments. This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, customer-facing, and able to bridge technical discussions with commercial strategy.

Pay:
$148,000 - $153,000 per year Key Responsibilities Develop and manage strategic customer relationships within manufacturing, automation, and engineering sectors Identify new business opportunities by engaging directly with customers and understanding upcoming projects before formal RFQs are released Visit customer sites regularly to assess needs, ask technical questions, and identify manufacturing solutions Collaborate with engineering, operations, and internal leadership teams to develop proposals and win new business Act as the technical liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure successful project execution Support account growth across U.S. and Canadian operations Maintain strong communication throughout project development, quoting, and launch phases Track customer needs, market trends, and competitive opportunities to support long-term business growth Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related technical field preferred 5+ years of experience in technical sales, account management, business development, or engineering within a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of precision machining, sheet metal fabrication, automation systems, or industrial manufacturing processes Experience working directly with engineers, manufacturing teams, and customer stakeholders Ability to identify opportunities early in customer development cycles and convert them into business Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills Comfortable with frequent travel to customer sites in the Boston/Westborough area Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment Benefits Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Basic Life and AD&D Insurance Voluntary Life and AD&D Insurance Voluntary Dependent Life and AD&D Insurance Short-term Disability Long-term Disability 15 Paid Time Off (PTO) days 2 Paid Personal Days 9
