Job Description

Key Account Sales Engineer | North America | RoboticsPosition OverviewThe Key Account Sales Engineer for North America supports business development, customer engagement, and new program launches for a global manufacturer specializing in high precision turning, CNC milling, cold forming, grinding, and advanced inspection equipment. They are expanding from their established presence in the automotive manufacturing to robotics (humanoid) manufacturing.

This role is designed for a recent Mechanical or Electrical Engineering graduate with one to two years of sales or customer facing experience who is motivated to grow into a technical commercial role.

This position combines engineering fundamentals with customer relationship management and offers a strong career path into technical sales, program management, and global business development.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness development Identify new business opportunities and secure contracts for key product lines in the North American market.

Customer engagement Conduct customer visits, support new customer acquisition, and assist with early stage project discussions.

Program launch support Participate in the full lifecycle of new project development including RFQ, nomination, sample submission, APQP activities, and SOP readiness.

Cross functional coordination Serve as a communication link between North American customers and global manufacturing plants on topics such as cost, technology, quality, and program timing. Forecast and demand monitoring Track customer demand changes and provide timely updates to plant teams.

Prepare and deliver high level PowerPoint presentations for internal and customer leadership.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.1+ years of experience in sales, technical sales, customer support, or engineering roles involving customer interaction.

Basic understanding of manufacturing processes such as turning, milling, and grinding and a strong willingness to learn.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Basic familiarity with GD and T is preferred.

Interest in learning APQP, PPAP, SOP, and other program launch methodologies.

Strong communication skills and fluency in English. Additional languages are a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Preferred Attributes:
Exposure to the automotive, medical device, robotics, or industrial equipment industries.

Experience supporting new product launches or supplier side program management.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones.

A proactive and growth oriented mindset.
