Our North American subsidiary is undergoing a period of rapid growth, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Technical Sales Engineer to join our team here at Fischer Fixings USA. Job Overview This is a unique opportunity to jump on board during the early stages of our growth, and be an integral part of our expansion. As Technical Sales Engineer of a small and dedicated team, you will be responsible for driving proper use and design of fischer structural connections (anchors) with our design and construction customers. This will be accomplished by developing long-term relationships with customers via online meeting, phone calls and face to face technical consultations on large projects meeting with key engineers and project managers involved in projects in the fields of façade, fastening with chemical and mechanical anchoring, and structural retrofitting solutions, to advise on the best fischer system solutions in accordance with the US Building Code. In addition to providing the highest standard of customer service and technical expertise to our current customers, you will also be responsible for identifying customer needs and future building trends and working with the fischer development and Quality teams to assure that the products manufactured and sold by fischer meet and exceed US regulations and customers' expectations. This is an ideal position for a self-starter who is strongly self-motivated and capable of always going the extra mile. This position may involve some short-term travel. The preferred location of the new employee covering the Technical Sales Engineer position is Dallas-Forth Worth Area, TX. The position must be living already in Texas, otherwise. Responsibilities Maintain and develop professional relationships with the key customer groups offering an effective "point of contact" position for all technical issues. Achieve sales targets and support revenue growth in assigned regions. To gain "expert" status for the cladding range throughout the marketplace Provide detailed technical specification and calculation for rain-screen cladding systems, anchor systems, and / or fischer carbon fiber solutions. Submission of project tenders and detailed pricing. Support project specification activities, including technical presentations and accredited seminars (CEU). Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities. Carry out on-site testing and customer training as required. Various other projects/duties that the management may require. Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil preferred) Experience with Ventilated Facade systems, Structural Support Systems Understanding of anchoring design and function of mechanical and chemical concrete anchors Knowledge of the building and construction industry and good knowledge of the
IBC 2018
Building Code An energetic, confident, customer-focused style with strong skills in problem solving and customer development Ability to communicate professionally with many different customer groups such as engineers, architects, contractors, and suppliers Results oriented personality, outgoing , entrepreneurial and self-motivated Work experience with AutoCAD, MS Office, and proficiency in SAP or QuickBooks Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and project specifications. Minimum 3 years of engineering experience preferred. We offer Competitive base salary plus performance bonus.
