Job Description

As a Process Engineering Support Specialist on SEL's Through-hole Automation team, you will provide hands‑on support for a variety of our automated insertion systems which play an integral role in automating hand placements. This role goes beyond routine equipment support. You will contribute directly to the TH Automation team's primary objective of automating 80% of all hand placements by volume. You will help install, qualify, maintain, and improve Radial, Axial, and Oddform insertion processes used across multiple factories and product families. You will work closely with Process Engineers, technicians, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to troubleshoot issues, support new implementations, and continuously improve auto-insertion capability and capacity. This position is a strong fit for individuals who enjoy practical problem‑solving, learning complex systems, and seeing their work make a direct impact on manufacturing quality, and the dignity of work of the customers they support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Complete basic testing, services, or troubleshooting of SEL products and processes in accordance with defined procedures under the direction of more experienced staff. 2. Provides status updates to SEL staff and customers. Communicates effectively with team and internal partners and customers. 3. Learn and follow department processes while communicating opportunities for improvement to documentation or work instructions. 4. Represent your team by participating in collaborative improvement efforts. 5. Develop basic proficiency in the activities required to support one of the Operation Team's disciplines (i.e. Flowline product failures, Product Hospital, test infrastructure support, or Test Lab), or R D's disciplines (i.e. Lab Support, Product Test, Infrastructure, or Compliance). 6. Learn and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operation, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. 7. Understand. Create. Simplify. 8. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Two years' relevant experience Able to efficiently operate Windows and MS Office Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Background check results satisfactory to SEL Negative drug test result(s) Preferred Qualifications Two years' experience working with SEL products Experience with computer-controlled test equipment Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, electronic schematics, and wiring diagrams Physical Requirements Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 35 pounds occasionally Sit and stand for at least 8 hours Vision correctable to 20/30 or better Ability to differentiate color Use of computer keyboard devices Reach, Bend, Twist Competitive pay. Pay Range Data:
$25.96- $38.37 per hour Our compensation ranges are based on the responsibilities of the role. Starting pay is determined individually and considers factors such as relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and training. Candidates may be considered at different levels based on their background.
