  • Management Position Description We are looking for a sales person with heat treating knowledge.
This role is responsible for developing accurate technical and commercial quotations for custom induction heating systems. Responsibilities Ensure quotes comply with quotation-management business rules, pricing guidelines, and company objectives. Prepare cost estimates and draft proposals for Product Manager review and approval. Revise quotes, when needed, based on confirmed project details (e.g., scope, price, quantities, and timelines). Partner with Territory Managers, Engineering, and Product Managers to confirm requirements and ensure quote accuracy. Respond to sales inquiries (phone/email) and resolve quotation issues or propose viable alternatives. Maintain strong customer relationships by providing responsive, accurate, and professional quotation support. Maintain current product knowledge to recommend appropriate configurations and product mixes. Help develop and maintain quoting standards (e.g., engineering support time, assembly operation times, electrical engineering/programming standards). Coordinate with Engineering to create or validate Bills of Materials (BOMs) when required. Perform other related duties as assigned in support of business needs. Qualifications Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time, priorities, and multiple quote requests. High attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ERP/CRM experience is a plus. Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications. Working knowledge of SolidWorks (asset). Education and Experience 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar quotation, estimating, or technical sales-support role. Prior experience in quoting or estimating in a manufacturing or engineered-to-order environment (preferred). Prior experience with Heat treating, Brazing or Annealing processes a plus. Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Exposure to industrial or mechanical engineering concepts (asset). Electrical knowledge (asset); technical diploma in Electrical/Electronics (asset). Knowledge and/or hands-on experience in heat treating, brazing, and welding (plus).
