Job Description

Job Purpose:
Sell/Lease new and used vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Satisfy the transportation needs of vehicle purchasers Sell/Lease and deliver a minimum of designated units per month Approach, greet, and offer assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom, sales lot, or inquires via phone, internet, or by any other digital methods Assist customers in selecting a vehicle, appropriate benefits package, and finance options by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses Explain fully product performance, application, and benefits to prospects Describe any appropriate optional equipment available for customer purchase Offer test drives to all prospects. Follow dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from customer prior to test drive Utilize dealership sales control and follow-up system Exhibit high level of commitment to customer satisfaction Know and understand the Federal, state, and local laws which govern retail automobile sales, financing, and leasing Attend product and sales training courses as requested by sales manager Stay updated about new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers Know and understand equity and values and be able to explain depreciation to the customer Ensure that the Sales Manager has an opportunity to meet each customer Work with Contract Specialist to complete all deal related paperwork (insurance information, trade title, signed contract etc.) Disclose completed sales orders and accompanying paperwork to the customer, collecting signatures and signing such documents in compliance with established Federal, State, and dealership policies Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrival Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership's service department Schedule first service appointment Follow up on all post-delivery items, tag/title work, "we-owes", and special requests to be sure that all customer expectations are met. Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction Maintain a prospect development system Attend sales meetings Other duties as assigned by management
Job Qualifications :
High school diploma or the equivalent Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information General mechanical skills helpful Sales experience helpful Valid driver's license and a good driving record required Good Judgment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
