Based in Anchorage, we provide heavy equipment, truckload, and LTL freight hauling out of our Anchorage and Fairbanks locations. We specialize in Haul Road trucking and have decades of combined experience driving to and from the North Slope. About this Role The Sales Coordinator will be a full-time in-person position based out of our office in south Anchorage. This position provides two essential functions to support long-term revenue growth: (1) supporting the VP of Sales in the back-end processing of customers' orders & invoicing, and (2) developing leads for new potential customers. Compensation will be a combination of salaried base pay and commission on revenue from new accounts brought to the business. This position will report to the General Manager, with dotted-line reporting to the VP of Sales. Sales administration/account management (50%): Work with VP of Sales to coordinate all sales activities.
  • Log and track new customers and orders
  • Develop proposals and provide estimates to customers
  • Coordinate with Operations on order scheduling and fulfillment
  • Ensure completed orders are priced and invoiced properly Business development (50%): Work with VP of Sales to develop an active sales pipeline.
  • Identify and generate business leads through prospecting and networking
  • Conducting market research to uncover new opportunities
  • Follow-up on inbound leads and schedule initial meetings with potential customers
  • Track leads and accurately maintain the sales pipeline dashboard
  • Participate in sales meetings Qualifications We're looking for someone eager to learn and grow into this position and in the company.
The role is best suited for a self-starter who will take the initiative in developing new business while organizing and optimizing the back-end sales administration.
Qualified candidates will have:
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret market trends and data for strategic planning
  • Effective communication abilities, both verbal and written, for engaging with clients and team members
  • An excitement for sales and willingness to learn the ropes of lead generation
  • Customer Service skills to build and maintain enduring client relationships
  • Self-motivation, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous sales or business development experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus
