Job Description

Job Summary The Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling MRC's complete product and service offering while exceeding customer needs and supporting business growth. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers, providing product knowledge, guidance, and solutions while maintaining strong relationships and ensuring a high level of service. Primary Responsibilities
  • Market MRC's complete product and service offering
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, installers, and customers
  • Identify opportunities to expand and grow the customer base
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries (phone, email, web, and walk-in)
  • Serve as a consultant to customers by recommending appropriate products and solutions
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and complete customer orders/contracts
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, quotes, and sales activity
  • Utilize company software tools to ensure consistency and accuracy in communication and orders
  • Work closely with operations and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Monitor competitor pricing and market trends and communicate findings to management
  • Resolve customer concerns by identifying issues and implementing appropriate solutions
  • Represent MRC in-store, on job sites, and at trade shows as required
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times
  • Continue to build product knowledge through training and hands-on experience Core Competencies

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales and/or marketing
  • Experience in roofing or building materials preferred
  • Strong understanding of roofing systems and components
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as needed
  • Ability to maintain focus and alertness in a busy environment Work Environment
  • Combination of office, retail, and field-based environment
  • Interaction with customers, job sites, and production areas
