About This Position The Role As a Sales Development Representative, you'll work assigned residential territories — canvassing neighborhoods and setting appointments for our roofing sales team. You're not closing deals. Your job is to start the right conversations and get the meeting booked. Our sales team handles the rest. This role comes with a guaranteed weekly base salary, a dedicated SDR manager working alongside you in the field two days a week, and a direct path to our full sales rep position within six months.
The work is straightforward:
effort in, results out. We'll give you a structured onboarding program, weekly in-office coaching, and hands-on field training with your manager two days every week. Everything you need to succeed — we provide it. The only thing we can't provide is the drive. What You'll Do Canvas residential neighborhoods and knock approximately 250 doors per week Set 10 qualified homeowner appointments per week for our roofing sales team Qualify leads by identifying homeowners with interest or roofing needs Log all activity and appointments in our CRM daily Attend weekly team sales meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions with your SDR manager Work 2 days/week in the field alongside your SDR manager (company vehicle provided) Run your own assigned territory independently 3 days/week Who You Are Self-motivated and disciplined — you don't need someone managing your day Resilient under rejection and relentless in pursuit of results A natural communicator who can build trust quickly at the door Physically capable of climbing ladders and conducting roof inspections Hungry for financial freedom and willing to put in the work to get there Sales experience is a plus, but the right mindset is what we're actually hiring The Compensation This is a base salary plus commission role.
Guaranteed base:
$525/week ($27,300/year) — paid every week regardless of appointments set Appointment bonus: $35 per qualified appointment set (hit 10/week = $350 additional weekly) Gas stipend: $40/day for your 3 independent working days ($120/week) Tiered commission on closed roofing deals sourced from your appointments: 0.5% on your first $200,000 in generated sales 1.0% on $200,001-$500,000 in generated sales 1.5% on $500,001+ in generated sales The Culture Whitaker Roofing isn't just a job — and that's not something we say lightly.
