Christopher Equipment is hiring an Outside Sales Representative who is driven to grow territory, open doors, and become the go-to equipment partner for customers across the market. It's a high-visibility position where hustle, relationships, urgency, and follow-through separate top performers from average ones.
What You'll Do:
Develop new contractor, industrial, commercial, and municipal accounts Visit jobsites, contractor offices, plants, and customer locations daily Build and maintain long-term customer relationships Identify upcoming projects and rental opportunities before competitors Generate quotes, follow up aggressively, and close business Promote the full line of rental equipment, tools, and services Work closely with inside sales and operations teams to execute customer needs React quickly to customer issues and help solve problems fast Track customer activity and opportunities within company systems Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry functions Help grow market share across North Alabama Represent Christopher Equipment with professionalism and energy

Job Requirements:
Outside sales experience preferred Construction, industrial, or equipment rental experience is a plus Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Comfort working independently throughout the day Basic computer and smartphone proficiency Strong communication and follow-up skills Core value and culture alignment
Work Environment:
This position involves traveling throughout the territory visiting customers, jobsites, industrial facilities, and contractor offices. The role requires frequent face-to-face interaction, driving, outdoor jobsite visits, and constant communication with customers and internal teams. Every day is different, fast-moving, and relationship-driven.

Working Conditions:
Employees are expected to work a basic work week Monday through Friday with flexibility based on customer needs, networking opportunities, and business activity. Occasional early mornings, evenings, and Saturdays may be required.
Compensation:
Base salary plus uncapped commission structure with strong earning potential. PTO, health insurance, employee discounts, retirement matching, company vehicle, and company cell phone & technology.
