Job Description
This is a base plus commission position. No limit on commission! Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Freight Broker to join our expanding logistics team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary liaison between shippers and carriers, orchestrating seamless transportation solutions across the country. Your expertise in supply chain management, transportation planning, and freight logistics will drive efficiency, foster strong customer relationships, and maximize revenue growth. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead national freight operations with energy, precision, and strategic insight. Duties Develop and maintain robust relationships with shippers and carriers to ensure reliable freight movement nationwide Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements to optimize profitability while meeting customer needs Coordinate transportation management activities using systems such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS), EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), and CRM software to streamline operations Manage inside sales efforts including lead generation, account management, and customer retention strategies Oversee dispatching, freight booking, and carrier selection processes ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and other industry standards Utilize data entry skills for accurate documentation of shipments, pricing details, and contractual information in systems Monitor transportation planning activities to ensure timely delivery schedules and effective logistics solutions Conduct ongoing market analysis to identify new business opportunities within the logistics sales sector Collaborate with sales management teams to develop strategic plans for expanding transportation sales and carrier networks Qualifications Proven freight brokerage experience. Knowledgeable in supply chain management, transportation management, or logistics sales Strong understanding of transportation planning, carrier sales, and logistics operations across B2B markets Previous experience with McLeod software a plus Excellent negotiation skills combined with a customer-centric approach to account management Knowledge of FDA regulations related to freight handling and transportation compliance Demonstrated ability in lead generation, data entry accuracy, dispatching coordination, and contract negotiations Effective communication skills to build lasting relationships with clients and carriers alike Join us as a National Freight Broker if you're passionate about transforming the supply chain landscape through innovative logistics solutions.
