  • Full-time Role Summary The Senior Charity & Strategic Giving Sales Representative will be responsible for building and executing Kole's Charity and Strategic Giving channel.
This role will develop nonprofit partnerships, donor and corporate giving relationships, and planned giving programs that allow organizations to multiply impact per dollar through wholesale and closeout purchasing. The rep will sell solutions and giving programs (bundles) rather than transactional SKU lists. This is a senior builder role requiring relationship selling strength, strong ethics, disciplined follow-through, and comfort creating a channel from zero. Charity cycles are typically shorter than government cycles, but trust and execution quality are critical because reputation risk is higher. Primary Objectives
  • Launch a repeatable charity sales motion within 90 days
  • Secure pilot orders and convert them into repeat giving programs
  • Build a portfolio of 15 to 30 active buying partners within the first 12 months
  • Establish an annual giving calendar model that drives predictable recurring revenue
  • Support high-profile giving programs with structured execution and clear reporting Target Segments
  • Thrift-based charities (Disabled American Veterans Thrift Stores, Vietnam Veterans of America thrift programs, St. Vincent de Paul thrift operators, Salvation Army thrift regions, The Arc Thrift Stores)
  • Nonprofit distribution programs (shelters, foster youth orgs, community action agencies, food bank non-food programs)
  • Corporate giving and CSR programs (employer giving, employee appreciation, annual planned drives)
  • High-profile giving partners (agents, business managers, foundations, sponsored community events) Core Responsibilities Channel Creation and Go-To-Market Execution
  • Build and execute an outreach and pipeline plan for charity and strategic giving opportunities
  • Develop the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) by charity type and program suitability
  • Create repeatable offering structure using standardized donation bundles and planned giving programs
  • Design outreach messaging and sales collateral emphasizing impact per dollar rather than SKU lists
  • Maintain CRM discipline and weekly forecasting of pipeline stages Sales Execution and Relationship Development
  • Prospect and engage nonprofit leaders, procurement stakeholders, development directors, and program managers
  • Engage donors and corporate giving stakeholders where programs are sponsor-funded
  • Build trust through disciplined expectations, accurate quoting, and transparent execution planning
  • Close pilot orders and convert to repeat scheduled programs
  • Create multi-program growth within accounts and renew annual giving calendars High Profile and Corporate Giving Program Development
  • Develop relationships with agents, business managers, foundation teams, CSR leaders, and executive assistants
  • Support planned giveback events using standardized bundles, strict timelines, and defined approval workflow
  • Protect Kole and the partner's reputation through professional documentation and controlled promises Program Discipline, Inventory Fit, and Operational Coordination
  • Align sales opportunities with approved product categories and inventory realities (closeouts and imports)
  • Avoid overpromising inventory continuity or emergency response speed
  • Coordinate with Operations, Purchasing, and Finance/AR to ensure smooth execution
  • Maintain strong margin discipline and follow pricing guardrails Value & Impact Reporting
  • Produce Value & Impact Reports for major programs to document dollars spent, retail equivalent value, units delivered, and program outcomes
  • Use Value & Impact reporting to drive retention, credibility, and sponsor confidence
  • Build a repeatable template for future scale Success Metrics (KPIs)
  • Qualified partner meetings per week (target 4 to 6)
  • Pilot orders launched per month (target 2 to 4)
  • Repeat program conversion rate (target 35% to 50%)
  • Active buying partners (15 to 30 by end of Year 1)
  • High-profile programs executed with on-time, accurate delivery
  • Revenue and gross profit performance
  • Execution quality (low exception rate) Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of B2B sales experience (relationship selling required)
  • Demonstrated success building pipeline and closing deals without a pre-existing book
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and high ethical standards
  • Ability to sell programs and solutions rather than transactional product lists
  • Strong organization and follow-through discipline Preferred Background
  • Nonprofit partnerships, fundraising, CSR, or institutional sales background
  • Wholesale distribution, closeouts, liquidation, or bulk purchasing experience
