Job Description

Role Summary The Sales Lead is a key holder and floor leader responsible for driving sales, delivering an exceptional guest experience, and ensuring smooth daily store operations. This role is the bridge between the sales associate team and store management — leading by example on the floor, opening and closing the store, and stepping into the floor manager role whenever the Associate Store Manager is not present. This is a role for someone who is sales-driven, dependable, and ready to take on leadership responsibility without losing the hustle that makes a great sales associate. Key Responsibilities Sales & Guest Experience Drive personal and team sales performance — actively engage guests, build relationships, and close sales Deliver a consistent, elevated guest experience from the moment a guest walks in to the moment they leave Build and maintain knowledge of the full product assortment — furniture, home decor, finishes, and customization options Support the estimate and order process for guests interested in larger purchases Floor Leadership Lead the floor in the Associate Store Manager's absence — manage team deployment, address guest concerns, and maintain store standards Set the tone on the floor — model the behaviors, energy, and professionalism expected of every team member Support the onboarding and day-to-day coaching of new associates Communicate priorities and updates to the team at the start of each shift Key Holding & Operations Open and close the store — responsible for all opening and closing procedures including cash handling, security, and system checks Complete the opening float count and end-of-day cash reconciliation accurately and on time Ensure the store is guest-ready at all times — visual standards, product placement, and cleanliness Log incidents, variances, and operational notes in Hub as required Escalate any issues to the Associate Store Manager or Retail Operations Manager promptly Qualifications 2+ years of retail sales experience, ideally in home furnishings, lifestyle, or design-forward retail Proven sales performer with a track record of meeting or exceeding personal targets Prior key holding or shift lead experience preferred Confident leading a team and making decisions independently when management is not present Strong communication skills — with guests, with the team, and with management Reliable, punctual, and available for opening and closing shifts including weekends and holidays Comfortable with POS systems, basic cash handling, and back-office tools
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
