POSITION PURPOSE
Support the execution of El Pollo Loco's franchise growth strategy through relationship-driven franchise development support, strategic outreach coordination, CRM management, Discovery Day coordination, pipeline reporting, and development process administration. Provide general sales team support including coordinating and attending trade shows, coordinating travel and supporting the VP of Franchise Growth. This role will support the franchise growth platform by coordinating targeted outreach initiatives, lead nurturing campaigns, candidate progression, development reporting, and cross-functional franchise development activities designed to support long-term multi-unit growth. The position will work closely with franchise development leadership, marketing, operations, legal, real estate, and external partners to ensure a disciplined, organized, and highly responsive franchise development process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support execution of the franchise growth strategy and tactical development plan across targeted growth markets and operator groups. Coordinate relationship-driven outreach initiatives, including email campaigns, drip campaign sequencing, targeted outreach support, and ongoing candidate engagement activities. Assist in managing and maintaining franchise development CRM systems, candidate pipelines, reporting dashboards, and development tracking systems. Coordinate Discovery Day logistics, candidate scheduling, meeting coordination, presentations, and follow-up communication. Coordinate development-related supporting materials including franchise overview presentations, operational support overviews, market growth materials, and development support documentation. Assist with candidate progression throughout the franchise development process, including coordination of NDAs, FDD distribution, supplemental Item 19 materials, candidate documentation, and development milestones. Support reporting initiatives related to franchise development pipeline activity, outreach progression, Discovery Day participation, and growth market tracking. Coordinate franchise development conferences, trade shows, in-market events, Discovery Days, and related development activities. Support non-traditional franchise development initiatives including airport, university, and contractor relationship tracking, RFP coordination, conference preparation, and pipeline organization. Coordinate with internal departments including marketing, operations, legal, real estate, design & construction, and executive leadership to support franchise development initiatives. Maintain a high level of professionalism, responsiveness, organization, confidentiality, and communication throughout all franchise development interactions. Other activities, duties or responsibilities that are assigned by your supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

Education/Work Experience:
BA/BS required, Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) a plus. Minimum of 3-5 years franchise coordination or sales experience required, preferably in multi-state food and/or retail operations.
License/Certifications:
CA driver's license required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Confidence in execution of strategic initiatives. decisive and able to make fact-based decisions. Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset and skills; meticulous attention to detail Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners . Ability to prioritize and plan work assignments and work under pressure of frequent and tight deadlines. Ability to read, write, and interpret complex reports, documents, and correspondence . High level of proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office Suite applications, customized database applications, and internet research tools. Adept at managing and prioritizing competing time sensitive requests while working well in a team atmosphere that may be under pressure. Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams. Ability to exercise independent judgment on matters of significance to the company. Ability to work weekends and extended work schedules as needed. Must be willing and able to travel locally within Southern California and to out-of-state restaurant locations, as needed by car or airplane. The pay range identified is the hourly or salary rate El Pollo Loco expects to pay for the posted position. This range does not include any benefits or bonus opportunities that might be available for the position based on position and eligibility criteria.
