Retail Sales / Customer Service / Vehicle Rack Installations

Job Summary Rack N Road, a locally-owned outdoor and automotive parts retailer and installation center specializing in setting up people's vehicles so they can get out and enjoy the outdoors, is looking to hire employees for Part-Time to Full-Time hours in our Costa Mesa store. Rack N Road Car Racks and Hitch Superstores sell, rent, and install the racks (bike racks, ski racks, snowboard racks, kayak racks) of industry giants like Thule and Yakima. Rack N Road offers cargo boxes for every budget, trailers, trailer hitches, and a wide range of accessories for both the interior and exterior of your vehicle.

Primary Retail Sales Customer Service Vehicle Installation Responsibilities Include:

Assisting Customers in selecting the best options for their vehicles after asking open-ended questions. Installing Car Racks, hitches, and other related accessories on customers' cars promptly. Follow appropriate safety measures at all times when working on customers' vehicles. Keeping the installation bay clean and organized. Post-installation interactions with the customer, explaining how the product works and what work was completed. Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager Prior experience with automotive and/or outdoor car rack accessories is strongly preferred, but not required, if you are willing to learn. Must be comfortable using tools and working on cars. Bike and Auto Mechanics are encouraged to apply. A positive attitude and excellent customer service skills are essential. We are looking for someone who is Self-motivated, a people person, and has a strong work ethic. Love for the outdoors and/or cars is a plus. Flexible hours are available.
