Job Description

Role:
Inside Sales Representative - Medical Devices, Instruments & Implants Drive lead generation, quoting, distributor support, and sales conversion for Surgical Republic's medical device, surgical instrument, and implant product lines. This person should be commercially aggressive, organized, and comfortable selling into hospitals, surgery centers, private practices, distributors, and medical supply partners.[7:43 PM] Core Responsibilities Prospect new leads across hospitals, ASCs, specialty clinics, distributors, and independent reps Build and manage a pipeline of surgeons, purchasing managers, OR directors, biomedical teams, and distributor contacts Respond quickly to inbound product inquiries, quote requests, RFQs, and distributor pricing requests Prepare accurate quotes for instruments, implants, trays, kits, and related device products Follow up on open quotes daily to move opportunities toward purchase orders Work with distributors to support product availability, pricing, documentation, and order status Maintain CRM records for all leads, quotes, follow-ups, distributor accounts, and sales opportunities Coordinate with operations/fulfillment on inventory availability, shipping timelines, and backorders Support product launches by building lead lists, calling target accounts, and scheduling distributor introductions Track competitor pricing, objections, lost deals, and product demand trends Help create repeatable sales scripts, email sequences, quote templates, and distributor onboarding workflows[7:43 PM] Ideal Background 2-5+ years in inside sales, medical device sales support, healthcare B2B sales, distributor sales, or surgical supply sales Experience with surgical instruments, implants, orthopedic/spine/trauma products, sterile processing, OR supply, or medical distribution preferred Comfortable with quoting, follow-up cadence, CRM discipline, and distributor relationship management Strong phone/email communication and ability to handle technical product conversations Understands that medical device sales require accuracy, documentation, and compliance-aware communication Success Metrics Qualified leads generated per week Quote turnaround time Quote-to-order conversion rate Distributor accounts activated Monthly revenue from inside sales pipeline Follow-up completion rate on open quotes Repeat purchase rate from distributor and provider accounts[7:43 PM] Compensation Structure Base salary plus commission is best.
Suggested structure:
Base:
$55k-$75k depending on experience
Commission:
2-5% on gross profit or paid sales from owned accounts
Bonus:
monthly/quarterly kicker for quote conversion, distributor activation, and revenue targets 30/60/90 Day Plan First 30 days: Learn product catalog, pricing rules, quoting process, distributor list, CRM, and existing lead sources. Build initial lead lists and follow-up open quotes. Days 31-60: Run daily outbound prospecting, distributor outreach, quote follow-ups, and build repeatable sales sequences. Start reporting pipeline weekly. Days 61-90: Own a measurable pipeline, activate new distributor relationships, improve quote conversion, and recommend product/pricing gaps based on market feedback. Pay:
$49,234.86 - $59,293.60 per year
