Full Job Description Job Overview:
Founded in 1980, Monterey Bay Wine Company is a family owned and operated fine wine broker and distributor. We are proud to represent many of California's most prestigious and coveted wines. Our highly desirable domestic and imported portfolio of unique wineries has been carefully nurtured and curated over decades. As a complement we partner with a highly regarded import company which features extensive listings of world-class French Bordeaux and Burgundy. Our stellar reputation as brand builders and ambassadors sets us apart from the competition. New representatives will need to demonstrate a true passion for food and wine, a strong work ethic, impeccable organizational skills, and the confidence in their abilities to work independently. Our current opening in the South Bay Los Angeles region is for an industry-experienced wine sales professional who: Has previous California wine sales experience with an extensive knowledge of California wineries, varietals, and appellations. Meets monthly and yearly sales goals and objectives. Participates in team sales meetings, educational seminars, and winery ride-withs. Resides within the South Bay Los Angeles region Knowledge / Skills / Experience An ability to work independently and be a team player. Excellent work ethics, time management and organizational skills. Builds lasting relationships. Highly proficient with Google Drive and Microsoft Office Suite. An ability to develop monthly written plans for territory prospecting and growth. Reliable transportation, proof of insurance and a clean DMV record. Ability to lift 50+ pounds. Work history and references that reflect an undeterred commitment to accomplishing and meeting set sales goals. In-depth knowledge of the region Compensation Range - $65,000 - $85,000 yearly Room for growth based on commissions generated.
